[RELEASED] Registration Protection & Gap Medical Insurance in Registration

We are excited to announce the release of Registration Cancelation (formerly RegSaver) and Gap Medical coverage in the new registration on TeamSnap for Business. This new feature allows organizations the ability to offer Registration Protection and/or Accident Insurance during the registration process. Each product has the ability to be enabled/disabled per registration form by simply toggling on or off in the registration setup wizard.

Once the season starts, it's difficult to refund a participant. Uniforms have been ordered, tournaments have been paid for, and expenses need to be equally spread across a set number of players. Removing a player, and the fees they paid, causes hardships on the team and your organization. The best run programs set up a refund policy that serves to remove risk from the organization. This is where registration protection insurance plays a key part in a program's refund policy.

• Set up (and have registrants acknowledge in your registration) a refund policy that best serves your organization. It's best practice to include a percentage that can be refunded for a cancelled registration ahead of the season starting, and have no refunds once the season starts.

• Offer registration protection insurance in your registration for families to get reimbursed if they experience a qualifying event after the start of the season.
